The Blogger Recognition Award!

I was nominated by the beautiful Theepika over at Just That Girl to do this Blogger Recognition Award! Thanks so much nominating me :) Okay let's go!

Rules:

• Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.

• Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. My Story:

Reading is a huge passion of mine. It's what makes me "me". Unique. Some people have cooking, or jobs, or a dry sense of humour. Everyone knows me as the girl who reads. They know that I get WAAY too excited over a book, and treat the characters as if they were members of my own family. I was always on Goodreads, posting reviews and I noticed that many members had links on their pages linking to their blogs. I knew that that was what I wanted, would make me an even bigger lover of books than I already was. And since I started my blog, I've met many people who feel the exact same way as I do about books and understand whenever I overreact over book couples or a teaser from a book that's being released soon. I've found my people, and my blog is the mother ship calling me home. (sorry, haha) So that's my story.

My Piece of Advice:

I guess my piece of advice is something I have to take in, too. Design your blog whatever way you want. Even if it's something completely different to other blogs you've seen, that doesn't mean your blog is any less awesome. Use whatever colour scheme and font you want. I sometimes feel that my blog isn't as cool as others I've seen as I don't have an avatar on the top, or actual stars when rating my books. But then I remember that my blog is distinctly "me", and it's pretty damn cool. Add whatever you want to your blog, any way you want it. Your blog is yours and is an extension of yourself. It's a part of who you are, and what makes you amazing.
