Can you believe August is over already? This summer absolutely flew by! August especially was such a busy month for me - I was volunteering for two weeks in South Africa at the start of this month so there was no chance whatsoever for me to blog between all the work I was doing (as well as the fact that there was very little internet in the little village I was staying at). However I did get quite a bit of reading done so even though I've very few blog posts put up, it was still a productive reading month! Let's see how much I read!

I also read the five novellas that go with the Shadow and Bone trilogy, but since they were all less than 100 pages do they really count??

Never finished:
I just couldn't get into Atlantia, unfortunately. I bought it only because it was €3 so there's no love lost, I wasn't expecting anything huge, but it's always sad to have to give up on a book. I made it halfway, at least.
Not a bad month, if I do say so, but I guess 16 hour planes to Africa definitely helps! I spent the majority of the month in Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse, while also going back to World War II in Salt to the Sea.
Did you have a good reading month? What did you read? Let me know in the comments!

You got to go to South Africa? That’s really cool. I still need to read Salt to the Sea and Six of Crows. I’ve heard good things about both of them.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Yes, it was so amazing, an experience of a life time <3 Definitely add those books to your TBR, you don't want to miss out on them!
DeleteA month in the Grishaverse sounds like an excellent way to spend your summer! That, and South Africa, which must of been amazing :D. I don't think I'm going to read Allantia, just because I wasn't quite a fan of Ally Condie's Matched series. But oh well! Glad you had such a great month, and welcome back to the blogging universe! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, it definitely was!! South Africa was amazingly beautiful; I had such a great time!If you ever get the chance, I would definitely recommend going sometime! I don't think I'm going to read the Matched series now as I heard it;s meant to be very similar to Atlantia! And thanks, it's great to be back :)
DeleteI think novellas totally count ;) Sad to hear about Atlantia- I don't think I have found one person who DID like that one, sadly. Also, South Africa sounds amazinG! I hope you had a fabulous time- and such a wonderful thing to do, the volunteering! South Africa has always been on my bucket list :) Hope your September is great, too!
ReplyDeleteYay I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks novellas count!! It was so fantastic, there's a reason it's on your bucket list! I hope you get a chance to go sometime. And thanks, I hope your September si great too!!
