This Kindle has been a very good friend to me. I read it for at least an hour every day, it held over a hundred of my dear books, and its battery life was fabulous. However, I guess six years was its limit, especially with how often I used it. It was also free, given as a gift from my aunt who couldn't get into e-readers and preferred her paperbacks.
However, all good things must come to an end. I have ordered a new Kindle Paperwhite off Amazon, and even though it will never replace my very first Kindle and dear friend, it is time to move on.
Has anyone ever had to replace a Kindle? If so, how long did yours last?
I had a kindle, but it unfortunately didn't last as long as I would have hoped,6 months. It went to electronic heaven early.
ReplyDeleteAw that's so sad :( Did you evwe get a new one or did you stick to paperbacks after that?
DeleteOh no, I'm so sorry to hear your Kindle is dead :( My kindle too recently has left me, though mine was actually stolen. But we will always cherish the memories and the book feels they gave us!
ReplyDeleteOh Erika! I am so sorry to hear about that! Isn't ithorrible? Can you get anything back for it? I've had mine too long, I'm going to have to pay full price. You're right though, let's always cherish how great it was when we had it :)
DeleteIt's a tragedy, my friend. I guess I should go give my Kindle a hug whilst I still can. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteThank you much:) Give it all the hugs and make sure all your books on it are safe too!
